Brews + Bubs
Mental Health Support for New Dads
What is “Brews + Bubs”?
Many new or expectant dads experience stress, anxiety, or depression but don’t seek help until it becomes severe.
We created “Brews + Bubs” to support new dads as they embark on the exciting but at times daunting journey of fatherhood.
We want to set dads up for success! Not only for supporting your partner through the birth of your child and the postpartum period. But also for supporting yourself and your well-being during this transitional period. We recognise that dads who are informed and emotionally supported are better able to support their partners and children.
Get the tools, guidance and support you need as a new dad. In your own time, at your own pace.
What does our course include?
- Learn about supporting your partner through childbirth and postpartum
- Gain healthy coping tools for dealing with stress
- Recognise the signs of postpartum anxiety and depression
- Lifetime access to all content
- A private Facebook group to connect with other new dads across Australia
- An optional monthly online ‘Pub Night’
Your Brews + Bubs journey kicks off whenever it suits you. No need to rush across town after work or miss out on sleep. Just hit play, and dive into straight up, practical info made for new dads.
We’ll cover the real stuff: how to support your partner, what life with a newborn actually looks like, and how to look after yourself in the middle of it all. The videos are short, relatable, and designed so you can dip in when you’ve got a spare 10 minutes (yes, even at 2am).
And if you’re craving connection, we’ve got you covered. Each month we host a relaxed online “pub night” where you can jump on, ask questions, swap stories with other dads, and have a judgement free chat about what fatherhood is really like.
These sessions are built specifically for new dads. Too often overlooked, but a crucial player in this whole parenthood game. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and both your partner and baby need a healthy, supported dad.
Join us online today and get started on your own terms. Fatherhood’s a big job, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.

“G’day, I’m Liam — an experienced counsellor who understands what a massive shift becoming a dad can be. Whether you’re about to meet your baby or already in the thick of it, I’m here to support you through one of life’s biggest transitions.
I’ve spent the past eight years helping people navigate mental health challenges. I take a down-to-earth, trauma-informed, narrative approach that caters to the individual. I’m here to support you – whether it’s adjusting to fatherhood, making sense of your own upbringing, dealing with birth-related stress, or just needing someone to talk to.
As a counsellor and a father, I’ve seen the highs and lows of parenthood up close. I’m here to walk alongside you, help you build resilience, strengthen your relationships, and take care of your mental wellbeing.
Let’s work together to find what helps you feel grounded, confident, and connected — both as a partner and a dad.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this event for?
Brews + Bubs is made for first time dads who want to feel a bit more prepared and a lot more confident about stepping into fatherhood. If you’ve ever thought “I have no idea what I’m doing” — you’re in the right place.
How much time do I need to commit?
Each video is 15–20 minutes, so you can watch one while feeding the baby or before bed. You can go at your own pace, no pressure.
Do I have to show up live?
Nope. The core of Brews + Bubs is self-paced, so you can watch whenever you’ve got time. The live pub nights are optional, but a great way to connect with other dads if you feel like it.
I work shifts. Will this still suit me?
Absolutely. The videos are short and on-demand, so you can watch them whenever it works for you. Live calls are recorded, so you can catch up later if you can’t make it.
I’m not really a “course” person. Is this boring or lecture-y?
Not at all. Think of it like a mate giving you the heads up on what’s coming, not a classroom. We keep it straight-up, practical, and judgement-free.
Do I need to do this before the baby arrives, or can I start after?
Either is fine. The first topic relates to preparing for birth so if you’re tuning in after the big event, you might skip the first topic.
What if I’m struggling with mental health stuff—can I talk to someone privately?
Yes. The night is run by a counsellor, and we’re always happy to connect you with the right support, including one on one sessions. You’re not alone.
